“If this is preventive medicine, I’ll take my chances with disease.”

Dr. Mendelsohn urged parents to carefully consider the harms versus the benefits of routinely recommended immunizations. He cited the lack of scientific evidence that mass immunizations could be credited with eliminating any childhood disease, and he highlighted the

significant risks associated with every immunization. Observing the dramatically increased incidence of autoimmune diseases, and the possible link to immunizations, he asked: “Have we traded mumps and measles for cancer and leukemia?”
